Port Regis held its first-ever History Day on Friday - a truly spectacular celebration of the past brought vividly to life. Pupils and staff arrived dressed as figures from across the ages, creating a colourful tapestry of historical characters. The day was packed with immersive activities including author visits, hands-on workshops, an archaeological dig and a whole school history timeline laid out on the North Lawn. Highlights included an Ancient Greek-themed lunch and a special talk by renowned historian James Holland. OPR, William V, delighted everyone with a traditional Punch and Judy show, while Katy Cawkwell captivated pupils with her storytelling. The day ended with a brilliant twist - a Quidditch match re-enacting the Battle of Agincourt, with echoes of Shakespeare’s Henry V! Huge thanks to Mr Capozzoli, Mrs Mills, Mrs Fuller and everyone involved. It was a truly unforgettable launch of what promises to be a new Port Regis tradition.
