Among the recent initiatives to support Green Vision at the school, this year we published our Green Vision newspaper: 32 pages of environmental journalism, written entirely by our pupils. We also devoted a whole day to exploring how to look after the environment in many different ways across the curriculum, as well as delivering hands on activities. We hosted an Environmental Summit, welcoming a range of inspiring guest speakers who are doing fascinating work to protect and restore our natural world, with panellists including Zac Goldsmith, The Iris Project, Conservation Collective, Ahbstra and Better Planet Education.
We have also been fundraising for The Iris Project, an inspiring charity that supports youth-led environmental work and empowers young people to make a difference launched by Ben Goldsmith in memory of his daughter Iris. Our Green Vision continues to shape all aspects of school life – through the curriculum, but also through practical action. We are planting trees and pollinators, increasing biodiversity and working to reduce our carbon footprint through new solar panels and many other initiatives.
