All young children need to run around and have space to express themselves. Our sports programme allows them to do this while developing core strength, stability, physical co-ordination and social skills and team building.
Our Pre-Prep children receive several sports lessons a week led by specialist sports staff. In the early years, these lessons include swimming, ball skills, gymnastics and dance. In the older years, we mirror our prep school sporting curriculum as closely as possible, so lessons also include netball, hockey, football, cricket and athletics. And after school there’s always a variety of clubs and hobbies to enjoy.
Throughout the year we have a range of Pre-Prep sporting events including cross country, gym competitions and our very own triathlon and in true fashion, our summer term culminates in our high anticipated Pre-Prep Sports Day!
No day would be complete at Port Regis without the award-winning food freshly cooked on site by our experienced chefs. Every day, they prepare three delicious and nutritious meals and two snacks, catering for a broad range of dietary and religious requirements.
Menus include favourites like pad thai and paella as well as healthy home-made soups, vegetarian curries and a hand carved roast with all the trimmings. There’s always a huge salad bar and – as part of our sustainable food programme – our termly 30-mile lunch menu is made using ingredients from local suppliers.
