We are delighted to start the new school year welcoming new Heads of Boarding to Port Regis, Mrs Nicola Daubeney and Mr Preet Bachra.
Nicola is already well known to many Port Regis families as our Head of Modern Foreign Languages and recently joined Port Regis from Godolphin School in Salisbury, where she served as Pastoral Deputy Head. Preet, a former Port Regis parent, is already a valued member of our sports coaching team. Prior to joining Port Regis, he was Pastoral Deputy Head at Bryanston School and brings a wealth of experience in pastoral leadership and boarding.
Boarding school life sits at the heart of a Port Regis education. The structure enables all children, boarding or day, to make the very most of all the opportunities open to them at school, allowing a breadth of extra curricular options through a longer school day, and a jam packed programme of activities in the evenings and at weekends. We offer ‘local’ 2, 3 and 4 nights boarding alongside full boarding so there are many different options to become part of our boarding school community. Such is our commitment to boarding school life, we offer two nights free boarding for all local day children in Years 3 and 4.
With over 70% of our prep school children boarding in some form each year, including many military and international families, boarding is truly in the Port Regis DNA. As a result the school is a close knit, supportive family community with a genuinely global outlook.
