Last Thursday, nine musicians from A-D Forms were invited to take part in the Bryanston School Orchestral Day, where they played in a full symphony orchestra alongside 50 pupils from other local prep schools. It was a fantastic day of music, culminating in a mini concert in the afternoon which included the 'Can Can’, ‘New York, New York’ and ‘Vivaldiana’. They even played the theme from ‘The Great Escape’ which included mass whistling!
“The performance was superb, made even more impressive by the fact that none of these musicians had played together before today and it was the first time they had ever seen some of the music,” says our Director of Music, Miss Baker. “I am so proud of them all for giving 100% throughout the whole day, and for being such incredible ambassadors for Port Regis.” Very well done to you all.
