A Form Leavers’ Bivvy: A Memorable Adventure

16th June, 2025

Port Regis A Formers round off their time at school with the much-loved annual leavers’ bivvy - an unforgettable few days of adventure, teamwork and resilience. Camping out for two nights in self-built bivvys, the pupils braved torrential rain before enjoying some well-earned sunshine to dry out. Highlights included team challenges, night walks, fire lighting, knot tying, marshmallow toasting and even crossing the pond. Ration pack meals replaced home comforts and with no showers in sight, spirits remained impressively high. Mr Pope’s ghost stories around the campfire added an extra thrill to the evenings. A huge thank you goes to the incredible Mrs Cursons and her army of parent and staff helpers who made the experience so special. Well done to all our A Formers - your grit, good humour and camaraderie made this a leavers’ bivvy to remember.
