T D Wheare, MA
Tom Wheare is a graduate of King’s College, Cambridge where he read History and sang in the Chapel Choir. After being awarded a Diploma of Education at Christ Church, Oxford, he taught at Eton College from 1967 to 1976. Seven years as Housemaster of the School House, Shrewsbury, followed before Tom became Headmaster of Bryanston from 1983 until July 2005. He has served as a Governor in seven Prep Schools and was Chairman of HMC (the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference) in 2000. Tom was appointed a Governor in 1983 and is a member of the Governance Committee.
