The Religious Studies Department Staff
Theresa Latham (Head of Department)
Theresa has been teaching RS for more years than she cares to remember. Theresa teaches Alpha and A Form, Beta and B Form and C Form and she has a son at Port Regis and is married to Simon, Head of Art.
Frances Boarder
As well as teaching RS in the Lower School, Frances takes some Assemblies and Evening Prayers. She attends Gillingham Community Church with her husband. She has also been to Israel three times, the first two [many years ago!] to work on a kibbutz in Northern Galilee. Frances is Head of Junior school and a D Form teacher. She teaches RS to E and D Forms.
Christine Peters
Christine joined the School in 1995 after being at her previous school for nearly twenty years. She had taught children from 3 to 13, including CE Religious Studies. She enjoys the challenges of teaching mixed ability groups. In the E Form, where Christine is a class teacher, much emphasis is put into role play to help the learning process and both children and teacher have great fun with these. In her 'spare' time Christine enjoys cooking, walking with her dog and numerous family members, bird watching and the theatre.
Lottie Tichy
Lottie joined the Port Regis RS department in September 2010, having previously taught the subject to years 4 and 5 at her previous school. Lottie is a D Form teacher and teaches RS to the same year group. She enjoys bringing RS to life, involving the children in role play and 'hot seating' activities.
