    Huw Jones BSc (Hons) - Head of Boys' Games

    Huw Jones - Head of Boys' GamesHuw Jones joined Port Regis in September 2004. Previously he was Director of Sport at Northbourne Park in Kent and Eagle House in Berkshire where he led successful overseas tours to South Africa (twice) and Australia. In addition to this he worked for the Rugby Football Union for two years as their Youth Development Officer in Berkshire.

     

    Huw was 1st XV rugby captain at Liverpool 'John Moores' University where he gained a BSc(Hons) in Sports Science and a PGCE in Physical Education. He was a member of the England rugby squad training weeks at both Under 16 and Under 18, and represented Berkshire at all levels including 1st XV. He played semi-professional rugby for Reading and retired from playing in 2000 due to work commitments. He represented Berkshire at Athletics and has run the London Marathon twice. He holds coaching qualifications in rugby, football, cricket and swimming.

     

    Charlotte Keyser - Head of Girls' Games

    Charlotte Keyser joined us as Head of Girls’ Games in September 2011 from The Leys School in Cambridge, where she taught PE, including GCSE and A Level and Games to boys and girls aged eleven to eighteen for the past five years. She was also an Assistant Housemistress in a girls boarding house. She has taken Hockey, Netball and Tennis tours to Spain and South Africa and has coached teams and players through to county, regional and even national success.

     

    At school Charlotte played competitive Hockey and Lacrosse and was very honored to be selected to play Lacrosse for Scotland for three years. At university she played club level and university Hockey and became very involved in the Cambridge City Hockey Club as both a player and coach. Charlotte’s other great sporting passion is Equestrianism and she has traveled the world working with horses in a variety of disciplines. At Port Regis she will often been seen around school with her two dogs Millie and Tiggy in tow, who love all the attention they get form the pupils and the beautiful grounds for running around in.
