Teaching Groups

Children are taught by experienced class teachers up to D Form (Year 5). They are taught in ability groupings in form groups in F form and by sets from E form.

From the C Form (Year 6), and in some cases in D form, they are taught by Maths Specialists.

The average class size is 15, with the weaker children taught in smaller groups.

One-to-one tuition is available to support weaker children, those who have missed schooling or those studying for scholarship exams. There are also Maths Clinics twice weekly which are open to all comers.
