Liz Lyon (E form)
Once upon a time there was an up beat teacher called Liz who trained at Homerton College in Cambridge and then spent a harmonious year on the postgraduate course at the Royal College of Music studying the mellifluous flute, piano, viola and theory.
Her symphonic teaching career included posts in a precise Grammar, lively Comprehensive, jazzy Middle and stately Independent schools where she taught Music up to “A level” pitch, French and English to Key Stage 3 and 4 scale pupils and general subjects to Key Stage 2 tempo pupils. Liz also worked with a wide age-range including adults and pre-school children, and lived happily ever after!

|
Emily Kidd (E form)
The lay of the E form teacher
Breathes there the teacher, with much to mark,
Who often to herself doth remark
This is Port Regis, my native land!
Whose heart hath often within her soared,
As yet another hockey team has scored,
A further victory on the sand!
If you should stumble upon her class;
Génial! She is sure to help you pass,
In Wessex four with E form she likes to stay,
Teaching English, History où français.
She can be found partaking in the odd ‘Strip the Willow’,
Or even fluffing a Grosvenor girl’s pillow.
But, wait! Something has gone a wry,
As we hear the Headmaster’s anguished cry,
‘To my ears this is pleasing not,
Who ever thought of hiring a Scot?’ |
