    Travelling to Port Regis

    By Air:

    Bristol (1 ¼ hours), Bournemouth (1 hour), Southampton (1 hour), Heathrow (1 ¾ hours) and Gatwick (2 hours) airports are within easy reach of the school by car or train and have regular scheduled flights from all UK, European and International destinations.

    By Rail:

    The nearest main-line station is Gillingham, Dorset, which has regular direct services to Basingstoke, London Waterloo and the South West, and is only a 5-10 minute taxi journey away.

    By Road:

    Port Regis is located about a mile to the west, outside theancientSaxontown of Shaftesbury,on the B3081, in 150 acres of glorious Dorset parkland and is well situated for the South West, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, London and the South East.


    From the M25 via the A303:

    Leave the M25 at Junction 12 and join the M3. Exit the M3 at Junction 8 to join the A303. Leave the A303 at its junction with the A350 towards Shaftesbury. On reaching Shaftesbury travel to the Ivy Cross roundabout - A350/A30 junction - take the third exit onto the
    B3081. Remain on the B3081 and pass under the A30 flyover. Do not take the turn for Motcombe village, travel for approximately 1 mile, and the main entrance is on your right signed “Port Regis, Motcombe Park”.

    From Salisbury:

    Take the A30 from Salisbury to Shaftesbury. At the first roundabout take the third exit remaining on the A30. Travel straight across at the mini roundabout and continue to the Ivy Cross roundabout - A350/A30 junction - take the first exit onto the B3081. Remain on the B3081 and pass
    under the A30 flyover. Do not take the turn for Motcombe village, travel for approximately 1 mile and the main entrance is on your right signed “Port Regis, Motcombe Park”.

    From Bournemouth & Blandford on the A350:

    Travel to Shaftesbury via the A350 and at the first roundabout take the second exit onto the A30. Travel straight across at the mini roundabout and continue to the Ivy Cross roundabout and take the first exit onto the B3081. Remain on the B3081 and pass under the A30 flyover. Do not take the turn for Motcombe village, travel for 1 mile and the main entrance is on your right signed “Port Regis, Motcombe Park”.

    From Yeovil & Sherborne on the A30:

    Travel to Shaftesbury via the A30 and at the Ivy Cross roundabout take the fourth exit onto the B3081. Remain on the B3081 and pass under the A30 flyover. Do not take the turn for Motcombe village, travel for approximately 1 mile and the main entrance is on your right signed “Port Regis, Motcombe Park”.

    On Arrival:

    As you approach the main school buildings, car parking is available on your left. Headmaster’s visitors are invited to report to Reception in the Mansion House, and all other visitors should report to the Bursary.
