The Tutor System at Port Regis

Children joining Port Regis between the ages of 3 and 9 are looked after by their class-teacher. Once they join the C form (aged 10) they choose, with guidance, a member of staff to be their Personal Tutor.

 

Tutors encourage and assist the child in all aspects of school life and we expect Tutors to become a friend of the family as well as the child.

 

This system is key to the happiness of the child and the success of the pastoral care at Port Regis. Children can, of course, seek help and advice from any member of staff at any time.
