We also have two lovely matrons who will help look after you. They are both great fun.
Helpful Hints!
There are seven dormitories in Talbot, all named after famous people. You will have one or two dorm captains in each dorm to help look after you and answer any questions you may have.
To help you settle in, you may wish to bring teddies, photos of family and friends and posters to put up in your area. You might also like to bring a CD player or discman to listen to music.
It is helpful to ask your parents to buy you a phone card, you will then be able to call home without the need for money. If you are an overseas pupil or an A/B former then you can bring in a mobile phone. Both you and your parents will need to sign a contract and the phone has to be handed in for safe keeping.
Please do not keep money or valuables on you as they may go missing. Always hand them in to a member of the house staff.
Tuck is available Wednesday at 1630, Saturday evening and Sunday after lunch. At no other time must it be brought in to school. IT WILL BE THROWN AWAY.
Captains and B form pupils may bring in fruit and squash, and if you live overseas, we can order it for you weekly.
Jobs
There are always jobs to be done everyday before we play!
MONDAY – Shirt chuck-out.
TUESDAY - Free to have fun.
WEDNESDAY - Big chuck-out of laundry. This includes school uniform, towels and play clothes.
THURSDAY - Bed change in the morning. This includes all bed linen and PJs. “Nit” check for all in the evening.

Having fun...when all the jobs are done!
There is table football and air hockey in the common room + books and games. You can play sensible ball games in the corridors (only in the evenings). You can play with friends in your dorm or sit and listen to music etc. Some evenings and at weekends you can watch TV (with Houseparent permission). Occasionally we will have talent shows, quizzes and house parties.
