Welcome to Prichard Hall Boarding House
Prichard Hall was opened in September 1995 for the Senior Boys at Port Regis (11-13 yrs). The house has six dormitories all with 10 individual cubicles. Each dormitory has its own boot room, showers and loos. Cubicles number 1 and 2 are normally for the dormitory captains. The cubicle is your individual, private space, so bring posters and photos, plants and music!Â
Â
Dorm allocations are changed every term. The boys are asked to list at least four friends with whom they would like to share a dorm. Much time and effort goes into the placements and we try to ensure that every one has at least one of their choices.
Â
The House has two common rooms. Downstairs is a TV and quiet room - daily papers and magazines are kept there to read. A small library of books is also available in the House. TV is allowed during the week, but always with a Houseparent's permission first. No TV is watched after the 9:00pm watershed. Only videos of U, PG or 12 certificate are viewed.Â
Â
The upstairs common room is a games area with table tennis and pool tables. There is table football and a punch bag in the boot rooms. These can be used in the first break and free time, but not before breakfast! Occasionally, the use of the House Playstation is allowed.
