Following an early career in investment management, Mark Vaughan-Lee joined the boards of a number of investment companies and trusts.  He was a director of Samuel Montagu & Co., Investment Bankers, where he was involved in the bank’s domestic and overseas operations.  In 1985 Mark left the bank to work for himself as a financier and became a non-executive director and chairman of a number of public and private companies.  Mark lives with his family in Dorset.  Mark is a former parent and has been a Governor since June 1992. He was Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee before he was elected Chairman of the Governors in March 2002.
