The Hon Mrs James Nelson

Lucy Nelson was educated at St. Mary's Ascot. She was a Director of Mark Birley Associates for 30 years and the Catholic Building Society for 5 years.  In 1988 she started a national charity “Tommy's, The Baby Charity”, dedicated to solving problems in pregnancy including stillbirth and miscarriage through funding research. She was Chief Executive for 7 years. The charity has funded two Professors in Fetal Health in London and Manchester. She has three daughters, two of whom were educated at Port Regis.  She instigated the fund-raising campaign which culminated in the building of the Farrington Music School. She now runs Forest Lodge Stud, breeding and training Hanoverian dressage horses. Lucy was appointed a Governor of Port Regis in 1995 and is a member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee and the Governance Committee.
