The Governors of Port Regis are committed to broadening access to the school by offering means-tested financial support with school fees to eligible parents. This support is known as a Bursarial Award and such an award may be offered to parents of children who give evidence of above-average ability or potential in various areas of school life. Bursarial Awards may be awarded in the form of a remission of up to 50% on fees payable, depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants. Children who are given an award for potential, but whose parents have sufficient means to pay full fees, will receive a notional financial award in recognition of their achievement.
In order to meet the requirements of the Charity Commission, bursaries are means-tested in accordance with the School's criteria which is available from the Bursar. Both parents are required to provide proof of their income and assets. For bursarial support to be considered it is expected that both parents make a financial contribution to fees. Bursaries are offered for twelve months at a time after which time the family is required to provide fresh information about its circumstances for every year that their child attends the school. Levels of support may vary with fluctuations in income.
Our bursary policy can be obtained from the Bursar.
A 10% remission of fees is available for third and subsequent children subject to the simultaneity of all children being in the school at the same time.
Please refer to the Military Families section.
